Shaffer most recently served five years as Chief Credit Officer for Tehama Bank after a seventeen-year career with Bank of America. With over 22 years of lending experience, Shaffer brings with him a solid background in credit administration and local experience that will benefit the future operations of MVB.

A resident of Tehama County for the past five years, Shaffer graduated from the University of California, Santa Barbara, with a BA degree in Economics. He earned an MBA in Financial Management from the University of California, Berkeley, and also attended the Graduate Banking School at Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas.
